MU and NMBU NORPART Project

Moi University, Kenya and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), Norway won a grant of  NOK 6 million (Kshs. 77 million) to implement staff and student mobility exchange for MSc and PhD in the fields of Sustainable Energy, Economics, Environmental Science, and Ecology. The project will also support two (2) full scholarships for Moi University graduate assistants to pursue MSc in Norway. The goal of NORPART project is to promote International Scientific and Educational Cooperation in Engineering, Energy, Economics, Environmental Science and Technological fields through strengthening each University's capacity to respond to its Research and/or Training and the facilitation of information exchange between Scholars of the two collaborating Universities. The Project coordinator at NMBU is Prof. Samuel Adaramola and the counterpart at MU is Prof. Augustine Makokha from the School of Engineering. While visiting Moi University for the project inception meeting, Professor Samuel paid a courtesy call on the VC who was represented by the DVC-ARE Prof. Isaac Kimengi to discuss further collaborations between MU and NMBU.
